Willow Lodge

Willow Lodge is a modern, well-equipped and comfortable home that offers accommodation for up to four young people, aged between eight and eighteen, who have been assessed as presenting, emotional, behavioural or educational difficulties.

The house offers a nurturing environment for young people, as well as a homely living space that they may have lacked prior to coming to us.

Our aim is to provide young people with planned, whole year care and support, allied to individually tailored education programmes. We want to encourage personal growth and work hard to offer a caring and stimulating environment that enables young people to work through their difficulties, reach their potential, and build on their strengths as a person, through to becoming more independent later in life.

We believe it is important to provide young people with a safe environment free from abuse and we actively promote respect and dignity for everyone regardless of their race, gender, cultural background or ability.

We encourage our residents to personalise their bedrooms according to their individual likes and dislikes so that they have space that is entirely personal to them. The home has a large lounge area and also a good-sized kitchen and dining area, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy a positive experience of group living.

We strive to take care of both the educational and emotional needs of our residents.
We create individual education packages for each young person, which aids their reparative process but also offers them the chance to maximise their future life choices.

Helping young people reach their potential is not something we do alone. We develop an honest and open working partnership with each young person and in cooperation with other agencies we look to provide a continuity and consistency of care that addresses all a young person’s needs.

Achieving this consistency does not happen by chance. Our staff team have all undertaken training across many aspects of the care of young people including safeguarding, child protection, behaviour management, first aid, ADHD and Autism, and they all undertake the Diploma Level 3 in caring for children and young people.

Everyone at the home combines professional expertise with compassion and a genuine desire to achieve the very best outcomes for the young people who come to live with us.
